The 2018 FIFA World Cup which kicked off in Russia on 4th June, 2018 has created the boom of airline and hotel booking. With that, Russian tourism is increasing. The tourism officials in Russia hope that at least 1.5 million people will visit Russia during the event which could add USD 3 billion to the country’s economy. Right now, Russia is experiencing a sports tourism boom from the countries like UK and Europe, despite having some negative news of spying on diplomats. It is predicting that Russia will see 17 million booking transactions.
